Back in the Day when I broke my left ankle and was sporting both a cast and a walker, I quickly learned the value of not shopping in those giant box stores. Within record time, I knew all the small stores: as they were less tiring and much easier to get around! They had most of the same items as those giant shops, but it was more convenient and less challenging to accomplish the same thing.
This lesson has stayed with me and served me well. Shopping local is great. Shopping local with an independent is better yet! The service is simply the best. Discovering Sandman Book Company SW Florida's largest bookstore was a rare find. Large enough to have a superior inventory but cozy enough to feel wonderful.
Turtle Crossing is ever-so-close to the Marina. One could even bike there. Imagine not having to take a big block of time to head to 41, taking historic Burnt Store Road. There customer service is Gallup quality and their inventory is tops!
Keeping the footprint small by recycling those great used books makes better sense. It is also a great dollar stretcher.
You can always peruse a few bargain books on the front porch as you approach this amazing book store. Kitty Wan Kenobi makes you feel right at home. What is a bookstore without a resident cat.
