Sandman Book Company

Sandman Book Company is the largest independent bookshop in Southwest Florida. We are located in Turtle Crossing Plaza, just north of Burnt Store Marnia. Our resident cat, Kitty-Wan Kenobi, presides over an inventory of more than 60,000 new and used books.We also carry audiobooks, DVDs, puzzles, games, and greeting cards. And, if we don't have it - we can order it (used, new, rare or out of print).

Bookstore News

We are SO EXCITED about the front page newspaper article by Barbara Mellinger in the Charlotte Sun on Saturday, May 18th. "Time To Turn The Page For Kitty, Sandman" is a charming article about the bookstore, our plans for expansion and (of course!) Kitty-Wan Kenobi.

The bookshop will be closed from 07/28/13 to 08/06/13 so we can complete the expansion and remodel. It's going to be HUGE! Want to help? Stop by and pick up a volunteer application before June 15th. There are about 80 tons of books which need to be safely rearranged in their new shelves.
