Storytime at Sandman Books

Meet your favorite costumed characters at the bookstore for an interactive story time event! Heroes, fairies, princesses and other characters spring to life from the pages of classic literature and fairy tales.

The adventure begins at 10:30 a.m. All ages. Cameras welcome. After the event, each guest will have a chance to meet his or her favorite character and have their picture taken. Guests of all ages may wear costumes if they wish. This event is FREE.

About the Performer

Douglas Coventry is the director of Fort Myers based children's theater company Theatre Kids, as well as a solo musician and performer. His delightful stage presence and creative energy make Sandman Storytime truly magical - each show is customized to the current audience, which means that it is always appropriate for kids and young adults of all ages (no need to worry that your kids are "too old" for storytime - Doug will include everyone!). It's a great laugh for the parents, too!

Doug is joined by a rotating cast of fairy tale characters (costumed actors and cosplayers) including princesses, pirates, monsters, wizards, heroes, and even a dinosaur! Attending characters change with each event (contact Sandman to find out who will be there on a particular date).
